The Race

The Course

At over 800 acres, the beautiful Oak Point Nature Preserve and Bob Woodruff Park system will be host to the Plano Half Marathon. The course will showcase some of the best urban park trails in the Dallas/Fort Worth area while winding through woodland oaks, Blackland prairie, along side creeks, and more. The entire course will be entirely on paved trails.

After the race kick back and relax. The start/finish will be staged from the Oak Point Amphitheater. Participants will have access to beer, music and more.

Start and Finish Times

The Start and Finish will be near the Oak Point Amphitheater

  • 7:00 am - Half Marathon start

  • 7:30 am - 10k start

  • 8:00 am - 5k start

Race Briefings:  Begin promptly, 10 minutes prior to race start time, at the start line.

NOTE:  All races start at the scheduled time.  Late starts will not be accommodated.

 

CUTOFFS

The cutoff for all distances is 12:00 pm on February 12, 2022

The race will be marked with directional signage, and cones for each race distance.​

Aid Stations

Well stocked Aid Stations manned by passionate volunteers, provide

  • First Aid:  Band-Aids, Vaseline, and other basic first aid supplies

  • Food/Drink:  Water, electrolytes, various salty, sweet and savory snacks

LOCATIONS

Aid stations will be conveniently located every 2-3 miles on an out and back course.​

Cupless Race

This is an environmentally friendly race and it is our goal to keep the trails litter free to preserve their beauty. 

 

Cups won't be supplied during this racing event.  Please bring your refillable water bottles and we will refill them at the aid stations.

Training / Coaching

At every level, proper training can help you prepare for success. Ultra Expeditions has certified coaches and offers individual and group training packages. Contact us for more information.

Race Shirts, Medals and Awards

Register by January 26, 2022 to ensure you get a race shirt.

 

Finishers of the 5k, 10k, and half marathon will receive beautiful, custom designed medals.

Winner Awards

 

Top Male and Top Female for each race. Awards will be emailed after the race ends.

6:00 am            Venue opens at the Oak Point Amphitheater

6am - 8am        Packet Pick Up/Registration at Oak Point Amphitheater

7:00   am           Half Marathon Race Start

7:30   am           10k Race Start

8:00   am           5k Race Start      

12:00 pm           Cutoff for all distances

NOTE:  Race briefings begin promptly, 10 minutes prior to race start time, at the start line. Racers may only register for each event up until that distances start time. Racers may only drop in distances prior to race start. If they choose to drop during the race they will receive a DNF.
