The Trail Race
The Course
This is race is more than an event, this is an experience. Take advantage of your only chance to have an authentic Texas experience with rugged trail running, luxurious accommodations, live music, and world class Texas cuisine, all exclusively on a 1,500-acre ranch and resort.
Located in the North Texas Hill Country of Texas, Wildcatter Ranch will be the staging ground for the Wildcatter Ultra Trail Run. Newly cut trails designed specifically for this race will wind in and around the ranch allowing racers to tour the grounds. Trails will offer a wide variety of features to include everything from rocks to roots, climbs to descents, flats to winding turns, and cedar canopy to open grassland. Just ninety minutes from DFW International Airport and right around the corner from Possum Kingdom Lake, this trail system is one of the best around...and the only way to experience it is with this race.
Before and after the race, guests can have a hands-on experience horseback riding with local Cowboys, clay shooting, ranch tours or settle back in beautiful pool overlooking a bluff next to the Brazos River. After a day on the trails and throwing tomahawks, racers can relax in the upscale chic western accommodations.
Work up an appetite on the trails? We've got you covered. Wildcatter Steakhouse serves some of the best authentic Texas cuisine around to include hand-cut, Mesquite grilled steaks and many local favorites, along with a great selection of local Texas beer, wine and cuisine.
